It’s been a whirlwind start to the 2019-20 theatre season! In September, I was able to check another show off my bucket list by directing a thrilling production of RAGTIME at Music Theatre of Connecticut. Tackling the show in this current cultural time was particularly powerful for me – realized by an absolutely amazing cast and design team whom I can never thank enough. As I am want to do, I boiled the show down to a cast of 13 adults and 3 kids, focusing on creating a character and story driven immersive experience for the audience. I am proud to say that I feel we accomplished that goal in spades.
Next project up is A. R. Gurney’s wonderful SYLVIA in January 2020, followed by BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY in March. I continue to relish the wonderful and generous artists I am surrounded by and work with and, as always, can’t wait to collaborate and give life to these new productions.
